Eating clean can be tricky; whether it’s not knowing what to buy, having food go to waste or never having enough time to cook. It’s easy to make excuses, but with these 6 tips it’s now time for you to make improvements.
1. Don’t browse through the aisles in the grocery store
Simple enough, if a product has a food label, it isn’t food. Shopping around the outside aisles of the grocery store will keep you near the fresh and frozen fruits, the lean meats and the colourful vegetables. Once you start browsing the aisles, you get into trouble choosing products that are pro inflammatory and don't fuel our bodies needs.

 2. Chop and store veggies once you purchase them
Having vegetables ready to go during the week will make hungry you a happy you. When you get back from the grocery store with your colourful vegetables, this is the best time to get chopping. You will be less likely to waste your vegetables if they are cut and ready to be throw on a plate or in a pot.

3. Set aside time on Sunday (or another day) to cook your protein
Much like the tip 1, if you have food ready to go then you have no excuse to not eat healthy. Having your protein cooked and ready to go will make your meal options endless. Cook your lean meats and store them properly.  This way you will have protein throughout the week anytime you desire. By combining tip 1 and tip 2, you will be minutes away from a great paleo meal to fuel your goals!
 4. Muffin tins have more than one purpose!
Delicious smoothies made packed with protein, vitamins and anti oxidants fit so well when they are poured into a muffin tray and stored in the freezer. No time for breakfast? No more excuses, you now have a ready to go delicious frozen treat to eat on your way to work.
5. Stick to easy recipes
Until you find your groove, don't get dragged into the world of Pinterest and cauliflower pizzas. The easier you can make this on yourself the more likely you will be to stick with it. Once you become a meal prep wizard, and are able to recite everything you’ve prepped to anyone who asks, then you can start to seek more complex meals. For now, keep it clean, keep it easy.

6. Stick with it
Being consistent is key. Don't do this once in a blue moon. Practice these tips every week and you will watch yourself transform. Having friends or family join you in your prep can make also make this easier and fun. Have roommates? Let them know that Sunday is meal prep day and that means something to you, because you’re a beast!
