CROSSFIT KIDS&TEENS VOLUNTEER
Kurtis got involved in Crossfit through his parents. He had come to CrossFit a couple of times with his mom and thought that the environment that CrossFit Closer had to offer was pretty cool and instantly wanted to come back. Kurtis then began Crossfit as a way to become fit for his college program. Kurtis is about to graduate from the 2 year Police Foundations program at Algonquin College. His next step is taking Criminology at Carlton University, which he will begin in the Fall of 2017. Kurtis's goal is to find a career with the RCMP.
Kurtis enjoys volunteering with the CrossFit Kids&Teens program because of the satisfaction he gets from it. Kurtis believes that our Kids&Teens program is a great way for kids and teens to understand that being fit and healthy is a great way to live our lives. Kurtis enjoy's coaching because he gets the opportunity to be a mentor and be able to help when and where help is needed. Overall, Kurtis enjoys volunteering his time to the Kids&Teens program because, " it is just plain fun and it's always a great time and for everyone".
