1. Why did you start CrossFit?
I was clueless as to what CrossFit was but was bored of my fitness routine. My good friend Kevin O'Grady dragged me in one day and never left. 2. How long have you done CrossFit?
3. How often do you train?
5-6 times a week spending around 2 hours per session
4. What are your hopes for regionals?
I would like to see the team compete to their maximize ability and have a blast doing it.
5. What’s your favorite cheat meal?
Meat Lovers Pizza or an excessive amount of peanut butter
6. What’s your least favorite WOD and/or movement and why?
Burpees. Hate em. No matter where, when or what capacity they are prescribed in, I despise the movement. They explode my lungs and heart rate and I never recover.
7. What do you love about CrossFit Closer?
I love the people. The coaches, members and staff. The longevity and retention of staff and members is unparalleled and the relationships that have been formed because of this keep me coming in every day.
8. How has CrossFit helped in your everyday life?
As a volunteer firefighter I've found it extremely beneficial on the fire ground and in training. I've being looked upon as a role model from my station due to the active and healthy lifestyle I promote.
I also find its been beneficial in communication. Meeting new faces and people regularly and building relationships, encouraging introductions of names and connections right away has carried on to my personal life.
9. If you could give any advice to anyone looking to start CrossFit what would it be?
Make time for it now, if it's time related or financial make the necessary adjustments now and join. I've never met anyone who gave the sport and community an honest shot and left unsatisfied.
10. If you and this guy are in a fist fight, who would win?
If you can't beat em, join em. I'd be the fifth teletubby.
